Installing and Configuring IIS under Windows XP

  1. Open the Add or Remove Programs window by going to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. 
  2. Select Add/Remove Windows Components.
  3. Find and select Internet Information Services (IIS).


  1. Click Details.

 

  1. Find and check File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Service.  


  1. Make sure World Wide Web Service is also checked. 

  1. Click OK.   


  1. Click Next.

 

  1. You may be prompted for your Windows XP CD. Enter the CD or browse to the i386 folder then click OK.
  2. Click Finish.
