Installing and Configuring IIS Under Windows Server 2008 R2

  1. Open Program and Features by going to Start and typing "programs and features" in the Search Program and files section. Click Programs and Features in the search results.   
  2. Click Turn Windows features on or off.  
  3. Click Add Roles.  
  4. Click Next.  
  5. Check Web Server (IIS) and click Next. NOTE: If Web Server (IIS) is already checked, click Cancel and skip to step 10.  
  6. Click Next.  
  7. Click Next.  
  8. Click Install.  
  9. Click Close.  
  10. Expand Roles and click on Web Server (IIS).  
  11. Find and Click Add Role Services.  
  12. Under Management Tools, check IIS 6 Management Compatibility (everything underneath should automatically be enabled).  
  13. Check FTP Server (everything underneath should automatically be enabled).  
  14. Click Next.  
  15. Click Install.  
  16. Click Close.
