Using ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector

Note: ScanPath Server must be configured before proceeding. For more about configuring ScanPath Server, see ScanPath Server.

Once you have installed and configured your ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector, you may access the ScanPath app through your printer.

  1. Select the App icon from the Menu screen.

  2. The Application screen will appear. Select the ScanPath icon from the application list. The server may take several seconds to connect to ScanPath.

  3. The ScanPath Home Menu will display. Depending on the applications enabled within the ScanPath Server, a variety of Standard, Web, Application, FastLink, and Workflow Processes.

The following is list of Processes available within the ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector by category.


Standard Processes

File

File allows you to send a file of a scanned document to a specified folder.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Note: The PPT file format is only supported by the ABBYY OCR Engine, and the XPS file format is only supported by the IRIS OCR Engine.

Enter the path for the folder within your local system you wish to send your incoming file to within the Path field. You may leave the file name as the default file name or enter a custom name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen folder.


Email

Email allows you to send a scanned document to a specified email address as a file attachment.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Note: The PPT file format is only supported by the ABBYY OCR Engine.

You may enter a username directly within the LDAP field, or you may search the directory for a specific username.

Enter the email address for the intended recipient within the Email field. You may use the default subject and body text or enter custom text within the Subject and Body fields.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen email recipient.


SharePoint

SharePoint allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified SharePoint Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Enter the User name and password associated with the intended SharePoint Server into the User Name and Password fields.

Select the Path drop-down list and choose a folder from the list of available SharePoint folders. Your incoming document will be sent to the chosen SharePoint folder.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen SharePoint Server.


Barcode

Barcode allows you to place a custom created barcode to a scanned document. For more information about creating a barcode, see Using Scan To Barcode.


Scan To Desktop

Scan To Desktop is a legacy Process which ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector no longer supports.


Scan To Home

Scan To Home allows you to send a scanned document directly to the home directory configured with your LDAP account.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your home directory.


Scan To Me

Scan To Me allows you to send a scanned document directly to the email address configured within your LDAP account.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your email.


OneDrive For Business

OneDrive For Business allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified OneDrive For Business Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, RTF, and XPS formats are supported.

Enter the User name and password associated with the intended OneDrive Server into the User Name and Password fields.

Select the Path drop-down list and choose a folder from the list of available OneDrive folders. Your incoming document will be sent to the chosen OneDrive folder.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Web Processes

OneDrive

OneDrive allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified OneDrive Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen OneDrive Server.


Google Photos

Google Photos allows you to scan a document to the specified Google Photos Server.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen Google Photos Server.


Dropbox

Dropbox allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified Dropbox Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen Dropbox Server.


Box

Box allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified Box Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language.

Select the Settings button to set a variety of document print options such as the orientation, document type, color, and resolution. For more information about these options, please refer to the Additional Settings section.

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen Box Server.


Google Drive

Google Drive allows you to send a scanned document directly to the specified Google Drive Server.

You may set the output format of the file from the File Format list. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, PDF searchable, PDF/A 1b, TIFF, and RTF formats are supported.

Optionally, you may enter a custom file name within the File Name field.

Select the Path drop-down list and choose a folder from the list of available Google Drive folders. Your incoming document will be sent to the chosen Google Drive folder.

You may select a Bates Profile from the Bates Profile drop-down list. All previously configured bates profiles are displayed within the drop-down list. Optionally, you may enter a case number into the Bates Case Number field.

Set the OCR Language from the OCR Language list. Your incoming file will be processed with the specified OCR language

Click the Scan button once you have configured all of the required fields to scan your document and send the output to your chosen Google Drive Server.


Application Processes

Follow Print

Follow Print is not supported by ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector.


DocRecord 4.x

DocRecord 4.x is not supported by ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector.


Capture Server

Capture Server is not supported by ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector.


WorkPath

WorkPath is not supported by ScanPath Konica Minolta i-Option Connector.


FastLink allows you to send a scanned document to your FastLink Server. For more information about creating a FaskLink Process, see Managing FastLink Processes.


Workflow Processes

Workflow allows you to send a scanned document to your Workflow Server. For more information about creating a Workflow Process, see Managing Workflow Processes.
