Problem

When you try to install the DocRecord Server / Database and SQL Server is hosted on another server, you get an error message that is similar to the following:

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake.

Solution

  1. Log onto the server where Microsoft SQL Server is installed.

  2. On the DocRecord CD, install the DocRecord Database.exe under ".\DocRecord\"
