Could not load file or assembly 'idrsnet15'
Problem
When opening the Desktop Client after installation, you get an error message that is similar to the following:
Could not load file or assembly 'idrsnet15, Version=15.0.6106.42299. Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f8dc14aa4b79bbfa' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.
Solution
In older Windows operating systems (such as Windows Server 2008 R2), the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package may not come pre-installed with the system and is required in order to utilize the OCR engine in the DocRecord Desktop Client. Please follow the steps below to obtain the appropriate runtime package for your system.
- Close the Desktop Client application (if it is open).
- Download and install the appropriate Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package based on whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows:
- Open the Desktop Client application. You should no longer see the error and should be able to open the Desktop Client successfully.
