PrintPath FollowPrint Service Fails to Start: modal dialog box or form

Problem

The PrintPath FollowPrint Service fails to start and an event log entry is added to the Application Event Log as shown below:

Solution

This issue is caused by the server Local Security Policy for System Cryptography: Use FIPS Compliant algorithms... being enabled.

Disabling this security policy and restarting the server will allow for the PrintPath FollowPrint Service to start.
