What's New in PrintPath v1.0.1

  • Licensing Modes - There are now three modes of how PrintPath may be used:

    1. Licensed - This is the normal operating mode of PrintPath, where licensing is based on the number of MFP Connector licenses.

    2. Free - If PrintPath is unlicensed and there are 5 or less users registered in PrintPath, then PrintPath will operate in a special free mode where all its features are available except for the features involving FollowPrint and the MFP Connector.  Please note that this Free mode will only be available if PrintPath is able to find 5 users or less on the network (e.g. Active Directory contains no more than 5 user accounts with email addresses).

    3. Unlicensed - If PrintPath is unlicensed and there are more than 5 users registered in PrintPath, the only feature enabled in PrintPath will be basic print tracking.  Please note that in this mode, there will be no distinction between tracking black and white or color pages and no costs associated with jobs.

  • Release Jobs Upon Login - A user's FollowPrint jobs may now be released upon login at the MFP, streamlining the secure print release process.  This setting may be configured in the user's profile.

  • Disable Welcome Screen - The welcome screen (shown at the MFP panel when logging in) may now be disabled, eliminating a step during the login process.  This setting may be configured when installing the Prism Authentication Connector onto the MFP.

  • Track Scan Jobs - Scan jobs can now be tracked in PrintPath and be charged back to accounts.

  • Import PIN Code and Card ID Fields - In the System Settings of PrintPath, you may now map the "AD Pincode Field" and "AD Card ID Field" to their respective fields in a user's Active Directory profile.  This will allow for the automatic import of this data when users are imported from Active Directory into PrintPath.
