Copy web service method must be called on the same domain that contains the destination url

Problem

Scan to SharePoint Document Library fails with below error in ScanPath_Log.txt

The Copy web service method must be called on the same domain that contains the destination url.

Solution

The SharePoint server configuration may be pointing to an address that is not configured as an approved alternate address mapping or is not resolving to be recognized as being part of the SharePoint site domain.

This can be caused by entering the IP Address of the local SharePoint server into the Panel Process configuration screen instead of the actual servername.

Enter the SharePoint Server address as http://<servername> instead of http://<ipaddress> to see if it resolves the issue.

Otherwise, you may need the SharePoint admin to review the AAM settings of the SharePoint server.
