What's New in ScanPath v3.3

  • Easier Installation - ScanPath now features an easier installation and configuration process, allowing you to automate the installation of the Internet Information Services (IIS) FTP Server and configure its permissions with a single click.

  • Profiles - User, Group, and Machine Profiles are now supported, allowing each user/group/machine to have its own specifically configured processes and preferences.

  • FastLink - Allows for the quick creation of a custom "Scan to File" process that submits a scanned job with its metadata to a specific directory for a back-end system to then import and process.  ScanPath administrators may define a variety of metadata fields to prompt the user for at the MFP panel, including basic text fields, list fields, and even advanced fields tied directly to a live database connection.  The metadata output format can also be easily customized using the FastLink Editor, which supports CSV, XML, and other custom formats.

  • Scan to Me - This new process allows authenticated users to scan to their own email address (based on Active Directory).

  • Scan to Home - This new process allows authenticated users to scan to their own home directory (based on Active Directory).

  • Exchange and Office 365 Connector - In addition to standard SMTP support, ScanPath now supports a direct connection to Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 for sending emails in the "Scan to Email" process.  This means that MAPI and Outlook no longer need to be installed on the ScanPath Server machine in order to place a copy of the email in your "Sent Items" folder.

  • Redesigned Configuration Tool - The ScanPath Configuration Tool has been completely redesigned to make the management of configuration changes easier.

  • WebLinker - The ScanPath "WebLinker" is now used to establish a secure connection to all of the web-based scanning processes (e.g. Google Drive, DropBox, etc.).  This application is included with the installation files and can be configured for each user account that needs to scan to a web-based destination.
