Scan to EverNote (HP)
Scan to Evernote allows you to convert the scanned images to a supported file format and upload to an Evernote account.
File Format
The File Formats field allows scanned images to be converted to one of the following formats. Select a format from the list by clicking the appropriate button.
Name | Description |
---|---|
DEFAULT | Retains the original file format specified by the scanner. Selecting the DEFAULT option at the top will retain the original format as specified by the scanner (i.e., "pass through"). No clean up options (such as Auto-Rotate and Remove Blank Pages) will be applied if this file format is selected. |
Excel | OCRs the scanned images to create an Excel file. The scanned image must be an "Excel-looking" document with rows and columns. |
PDF (image) | Converts the scanned image to PDF file |
PDF (searchable) | OCRs the scanned images to create a searchable PDF file |
PDF/A 1b | OCRs the scanned images to create a PDF/A-1b file |

Word (frame layout) | OCRs the scanned images to create a Word document. Text and images are laid out in the document using frames to achieve a more accurate rendering of the original documents. |
Word (paragraph layout) | OCRs the scanned images to create a Word document. Text and images are laid out using paragraph formatting, sacrificing some accuracy in layout for ease of editing and document page flow. |
RTF | OCRs the scanned images to create a rich text format (RTF) file. |
PowerPoint | OCRs the scanned images to create an PowerPoint file. |
XPS | OCRs the scanned images to create an XPS file. |
Filename
The Filename field allows you to enter a file name for the scanned file. Select the field and enter a value.
Entering DEFAULT or leaving the field blank will cause the file to retain the default file name the scanner assigns to it.
The following are reserved characters and cannot be used in the file name:
! " # $ % & ' ( ) ~ * : < > ? / \ { | }
Some web-based services do not accept extended characters.
We attempt to replace the invalid characters with underscores.
Web services may change their supported characters so we recommend only using alphanumeric characters (i.e., A-Z, a-z, 0-9).
