License DocRecord (Offline)

This article assumes that your DocRecord installation environment either does not have an active internet connection, or has a proxy or firewall that prevents access to Prism's online licensing system.  Please follow the steps below to license DocRecord.

You must be logged in as a user with local administrative rights. Any DocRecord components that are not listed below either do not need to be licensed separately or may have their own separate licensing instructions.

DocRecord Document Server:

  1. Open the DocRecord Server Manager (Start > Programs > Prism Software > DocRecord Server Manager).

  2. Go to Help > License and note down the "Product ID" value.

  3. Send an email to support@prismsoftware.com, requesting an offline license key for the DocRecord Document Server.  Please provide the following information as part of the email message:

    1. Product ID (noted earlier in Step 2)
    2. CD Key for DocRecord Document Server
    3. Company Name
    4. Contact Name
    5. Contact Email Address
    6. Zip/Postal Code of Installation Location
    7. Reseller (if applicable)

  4. You should receive a reply containing a ".key" file.  Please save this ".key" file to the environment where the DocRecord Document Server has been installed, and then click on the ellipses (...) button for the "License Key" field.

  5. Browse for the ".key" file and select it, and then click Open.

  6. The "License Key" field should now be filled in; click Update.  If successful, you should see the "License Count" field update from "0" to the appropriate number of concurrent user licenses for your DocRecord system.

  7. Click Close to exit the licensing window.
