The requirements for an installation of the DocRecord Document Server component will vary based on a number of factors, including the number of concurrent users utilizing DocRecord in your organization. Please see the table below to determine the server requirements for your organization, but keep in mind that this is only meant to serve as a guide based on typical volume and throughput of documents.
Number of Concurrent Users | Hardware Requirements | Microsoft SQL Server Edition | Separate Database Server Recommended? |
---|---|---|---|
1 to 49 | 2 CPUs 8 GB RAM | Express | No |
50 to 99 | 4 CPUs 12 GB RAM | Standard | No |
100 to 249 | 6 CPUs 16 GB RAM | Standard | Yes |
250 to 499 | 8 CPUs 24 GB RAM | Standard | Yes |
500 to 999 | 16 CPUs 32 GB RAM | Standard | Yes |
1,000+ | 32 CPUs 64 GB RAM | Enterprise | Yes |
In addition, a DocRecord Document Server installation requires the following:
A domain controller server may NOT be used as the hardware server for the DocRecord Document Server. |
The other server components of DocRecord (such as the Capture Server) require at least 1 dedicated hardware server with the configuration listed below:
2 CPUs or greater
8 GB of system RAM or greater
1.5 GB of free hard disk space for installation files (additional hard disk space required for storage of actual documents and data)
A domain controller server may NOT be used as the hardware server for the DocRecord server components. Also, in environments with heavy scanning and OCR, it is recommended that the DocRecord Capture Server be loaded on a separate hardware server (same specifications as above). |

Each workstation running a DocRecord client component (such as the Desktop Client) requires the configuration listed below:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2
