In addition, a DocRecord Document Server installation requires the following:

A domain controller server may NOT be used as the hardware server for the DocRecord Document Server.

Other Server Components Requirements

The other server components of DocRecord (such as the Capture Server) require at least 1 dedicated hardware server with the configuration listed below:

A domain controller server may NOT be used as the hardware server for the DocRecord server components.  Also, in environments with heavy scanning and OCR, it is recommended that the DocRecord Capture Server be loaded on a separate hardware server (same specifications as above).

Additional Software Requirements

  • If you are using the SQL Server Express Edition, please note that there are various limitations including a database size limit and the inability to scale up in terms of performance.  For this reason, the Standard Edition or higher is recommended for use with DocRecord.

In addition, when the database size limit of the Express Edition is eventually reached and an upgrade to a full edition of SQL Server is required, the customer shall be solely responsible for performing this upgrade.  If the customer would like Prism to assist with this SQL Server upgrade process, Prism professional services must be purchased as billable hours.

  • If you are licensing under the Server/CAL model then at least 1 CAL license is required for each DocRecord concurrent user.
