  1. Close the Desktop Client application (if it is open).
     
  2. Download and install the appropriate Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package based on whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows:
    1. 32-bit: 555564-bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632
  3. Open the Desktop Client application.  You should no longer see the error and should be able to open the Desktop Client successfully.
