This article walks you through the process of backing up and restoring your ScanPath Server configuration to a matching version of ScanPath Server. Once this process is complete, you may upgrade ScanPath Server to a newer version (if applicable) by following the steps in the Upgrading ScanPath article. |
The backup and restore procedure for ScanPath is as follows:
Old Server Environment
- Stop the "ScanPathSvc" service in the Windows Services list.
- Browse to the ScanPath Server installation directory ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Prism Software\ScanPath\Server" by default) and make a copy of all the files ending with any of the following file extensions:
- ".DAT"
- ".SQLITE"
- ".VDB3"
