Note

While it is recommended to install ScanPath on a server operating system, ScanPath may also be installed on the following client operating systems, provided that there are no more than 5 MFPs connected to it:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit; Professional Edition and Higher)

  • Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit; Pro Edition and Higher)

  • Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit; Pro Edition and Higher)

Windows limits the number of concurrent connections that can be made to these client operating systems, so the 5 MFP limit helps ensure that the Windows concurrent connection limit is not reached. For ScanPath installations involving more than 5 MFPs, you must use a server operating system.
