What's New in ScanPath v3.4

  • ScanPath Express - This lower cost version of ScanPath provides access to the following core features:

    1. Scan to File
    2. Scan to Email
    3. Scan to SharePoint
    4. Scan to WorkPath
    5. Scan to Home
    6. Scan to Me

  • Scan to WorkPath - This new process types allows authenticated users to scan directly into their WorkPath application in the following ways:

    1. Scan a new document to your workspace in WorkPath for further processing by the user.
    2. Scan a new document to a shared process in WorkPath for automated processing as configured.

  • Web-based WebLinker - The ScanPath "WebLinker" is now web-based, eliminating the need for users to install an actual application in order to register their credentials for scanning to a web-based destination.  In environments where users don't have local administrative rights, this relieves the burden of IT staff having to centrally register the credentials on behalf of each user.

  • Embedded FTP Server - ScanPath now features an embedded FTP Server as part of the ScanPath Server installation.  This eliminates the need for the IIS (Internet Information Services) FTP Server to be installed in typical installations.

  • Support for Custom Email Attribute - In environments where the standard "mail" Active Directory attribute is not used to identify the email address of the logged-in user, the administrator may specify a custom attribute instead and override the default setting.

  • OCR Text Layering - A "PDF/XPS OCR Mode" property has been added to the Options section of the ScanPath Configuration Tool, allowing for the adjustment of how text is layered when creating searchable formats through OCR (such as Searchable PDF and XPS).
